The Trust is always delighted to receive donations and uses them to help fund practical land management projects and promote education and awareness about the landscape of the High Weald. We spend only a few hundred pounds a year on administration so almost all funds received will be devoted to one or other of our projects.
Weald Meadows – Initiative, Nectar Networks & now Partnership!
The Weald Meadows Initiative successfully completed its final phase during November 2009 – October 2011 and became Weald Meadows Nectar Networks (WMNN) in 2012.
Due to the decline of the new project lead (The Grasslands Trust, April –Sept 2012) we continue to seek donations and new partners to help support the valuable work of our project.
Current Weald Meadows Partnership (WMP) work includes survey and report support & other activities can be viewed on the news pages.
The project has carried out a range of tasks in the Weald over the years to support meadows and their owners. Past achievements include; the Vanishing Meadows Exhibition in 2009, the development and signing of an MoC with RBG Kew in 2010, landowner visits, surveys and reports, re-homing of retiring sheep, the development & launch of the UK Seed Hub and a range of meadow focused events and meetings in 2011, 2012 & 2013.
Please feel free to contact us for more information and your contribution will make you an honorary custodian of our wildflower grasslands in the Weald and will be used for grassland conservation.
